Walt : Plan an investigation and display data.

My graph is about class jobs. My question is “Which class job do you prefer ?” Most of the boys and girls chose netbooks. I think they chose netbooks because getting netbooks and handing it out is fun to do. The girls and boys didn’t choose student editor . I think they didn’t choose student editor because being a student editor is really hard to do because a good level of English is required. I chose class jobs because I like to help my teacher if she needs help. I surveyed the senior/ middle children. The survey was really easy . I would like to do another survey about lollies.

Art

I am learning about Georgia O' Keeffe. We were learning about warm and cool colours. I chose cool colours because cool colours suited my art . The warm colours are red , yellow and orange. The  cool colours are violet , blue and green. The warm colours suited the flowers and leaves the best. Georgia likes to draw abstract flowers. I got really inspired by her art because I have never done abstract flowers before.

Median and Mean

I am learning to find the median and the mean . This is how you have to play it. They tell you put it in order from biggest to smallest and the numbers are in percentages. You have to find out the median and the median is in the middle so then you have to add 59 and 51. Then you have to divide it by 2.  My answer was 55. To find the mean you have to add all of the numbers then divide it by 10. My answer was 47.1 .This game was hard because you to add all the numbers and divide them after. I want to learn about LCM and HCF next.

Mr Hendricks is our principal and he is a South African . He was proud enough to speak in is first language and teach us some of his language. Mr. Hendricks talked about the war in South Africa.

I am learning grammar. You will get a sentence they will ask you a question . My one was what is the pronoun they in this sentence :
Derek and his family come from England. But they like lowa a lot. The answer was Derek and his family. This was easy because I am very good at reading and grammar. I want to learn about inferences next.
